Dog Training

“Kirsty is an experienced and professional trainer”.

Your dog will enjoy exclusive one-on-one training in whichever activity you require. Ask us to try a few different activities and we will find out what they enjoy.

We COLLECT your dog(s) from your home, give them a full hour of training, incorporating breaks for play / sniffing and recharging, and drop them home afterwards.

Your canine companions will be supervised at all times by fully insured, CRB Checked, experienced, Canine First Aid trained staff members.

You will receive a training log book, which we complete after each session to track your dogs progress.

Training activities include but are not limited to;

  • Obedience – following the KC Good Citizen Scheme progression awards – incorporating handling, heelwork, steadiness, socialisation, stays, recalls, etc
  • Agility – a course of obstacles for confident active dogs -including the tunnel, dog walk, see-saw, A frame, weaves, and jumps
  • Hoopers – a low impact sport for the less active, old or young or disabled dogs – ground level obstacles, such as hoops / tunnels / barrels
  • Rally Obedience – navigating a series of signs indicating different obedience exercises – good for engaging the brain and building focus
  • Gundog – Obedience plus introduction to shot, retrieving dummies & cold game (when available)
  • Barn Hunt – a new sport to the UK based on scent work, find the (dead) rat in the bales of straw
  • Canicross / Bikejor / Scooterjor – for the more active dogs, we can introduce the dogs to the harness, pulling, directions and commands and ultimately the bike / scooter.
  • Assistance Dog – following the Adolescent Dogs progression awards scheme; Bronze to Gold & Public Access – proof of membership of an Assistance Dog Organisation (Adolescent Dogs / RAD, etc) will be required.

Most sessions are held at our fully enclosed dog activity field. As training progresses, or for puppies requiring socialisation, they may be taken on road walks, park walks, to garden centres & pet shops. Advanced Assistance Dog training takes place in a selection of public areas such as shopping centres, town centres, in shops, cafes, etc
