Agility & Hoopers

What is Agility?

Fun agility is a lovely activity for energetic dogs over 12 months.

Dogs learn to jump, turn, weave, go over dog walks and through tunnels, all on verbal cues and follow a course. We can train your dog the skills to use each piece of equipment, having fun whilst building confidence and body awareness.

Obstacles include hurdles, wall, rising spread jump, brush fence, hoop (tyre), long jump, water jump, wishing well, pipe tunnel, weaving poles and the see-saw.

Contact equipment includes the A-frame, see-saw and dog walk.

What is Hoopers?

Think about the pace and excitement of agility – but with a gentler course that doesn’t have any jumps – and that’s hoopers. The courses are flowing and consist of a series of hoops, barrels or tunnels. There are no tight turns or high-impact activities that you might see on an agility course, so it is ideal for any breed or age of dog, young old and disabled dogs also enjoy hoopers.

We can teach your dog how to negotiate the hoopers obstacles. Most dogs actively look for the next obstacle once they learn the game.
